When Tracy was growing up, her parents owned a retail shoe store. She spent a lot of time in the back rooms, and eventually worked in the front selling shoes & purses – her first experience with sales. In those days they would sit on a fitting stool, and actually put shoes on the customer, and suggest other options, and/or a purse to match. Tracy learned then, you have to know your inventory.

Tracy went to community college in the 80’s where she learned to be a bookkeeper, and worked in construction & real estate development offices. She always preferred small businesses where she could get to know everyone, and because she would have more meaningful work. Between the shoe store and bookkeeping, she held a LOT of jobs. The most unique was selling single long stem roses in upscale restaurants along the beach in Southern California. Tracy married an engineer, and they have two teenagers.

Why did you Start Selling Avon?

Tracy wanted to start earning money again, but when she looked at the job market…she just wasn’t motivated to go back to bookkeeping and office life. Also, she didn’t want to commit to 40 hour weeks, so she started looking at other options, including Selling Avon from Home. Avon was one direct sales possibility that kept coming up.

Tracy was familiar with Avon, and one of the women who worked in her father’s shoe store had been an Avon lady (RIP). Anyway, she thought if her father’s employee could figure How to be a Successful Avon Representative, then so could Tracy.  So she made the decision to Sign up to Become an Avon Representative. Since she didn’t know anyone who sold Avon, or who to contact, Tracy looked online and found me (Emily Seagren).

What do you love about your Avon business?

What Tracy enjoys the most about working her Avon business are the responses she hears from prospective customers: 1. Avon? Are they still around? 2. I haven’t seen an Avon book in years? 3. I didn’t know anybody still sold Avon. Also, Tracy enjoys building her own Avon business – it’s challenging. But she is up to the challenge; and she can see the potential to Make Good Money Selling Avon.

What are your favorite Avon products?

So far, Tracy likes the Timeless fragrance products the best. She has already purchased the cologne and deodorant. Tracy uses the Anew Reversalist Anti-Aging line, the Anew Clinical Pro Line Eraser, and the Big & Daring Mascara. She earned these products for free in one of the new representative bundles as a reward for reaching a certain sales level in her first few campaigns.

What are your short-term goals with Avon? 

Tracy’s first milestone goal is to consistently sell over $300 per campaign. She wants to book a fundraiser and she wants to add some tailgating or cash & carry sales to her Avon business. Their son will be starting college next year, and their daughter 2 years later. Tracy wants her Avon income to help pay for their education.

What are your dreams with Avon?

Tracy wants to provide a comfortable retirement for herself and her husband with the income from her Avon business. She would also like to earn some of those amazing free Avon trips!

What have you found to be successful in sales, recruiting, and leadership tactics?

According to Tracy’s reports, she gets the most customers from leaving Avon catalogs at businesses like nail salons and doctors’ offices. Her number 2 best way to sell Avon is by canvassing small business offices. One common association she listens for in potential customers and team members is a prior attachment / memories about Avon. When she hears “I used to sell Avon,” (or their mom did), or “I used Avon for years, but don’t know anyone who sells,” her ears perk up. It’s much easier to get a prior customer to order Avon again than to get someone to try for the first time.

Tracy has a niche in her market as an Avon Representative because there aren’t many active Avon reps where she resides. She has no trouble walking into salons and doctors’ offices and being the only Avon rep they see.

Selling Avon Online – When you start selling Avon, you can sell Avon door-to-door or sell Avon online. You can also decide whether you want to sell Avon online only or sell traditionally and online. I recommend trying both until you start excelling at one or the other. If you are successful traditionally and sell Avon online successfully, sell Avon both ways to make the most money.

How does Selling Avon Online Work?

How does Selling Avon Online Work? When you set up your Avon website, you can determine whether you want online customers to have the option of direct delivery, representative delivery, or both. If you choose direct delivery only, all online orders will be shipped directly to your customers. Direct delivery orders will be received, processed, and shipped by Avon. If you select representative delivery, customers can place their order on your website but their order will only be put in your online cart…you are still responsible for placing the order, collecting payment, and delivering the order. If you choose both, the customer can pick how they would like their order processed.

How do you get Paid When Selling Avon Online?

How do you get Paid Selling Avon Online? Similar to Selling Avon traditionally, you do not receive a paycheck for your online sales commission. Instead you receive credits from Avon on your account which either deducts from the balance you owe Avon or accumulates to a credit balance. Once you have a credit balance of $25 or more on your Avon account, Avon will make a direct deposit to your bank account in the amount of the credit balance. The direct deposits post on the 1st and the 15th from Avon (allow 2 business days to see the direct deposit in your bank account).
